Look at all images in PSP and make a choice.

Let's
get started. Good luck.....

This tutorial is done in PSP 9.

With this tutorial I want to show you how to make a Printable Christmas Menu.
You do need some knowledge of PSP and it tools since you have to create your
own. You must know how to make text on a image. This tut is about the printing.

I Made the menu on a postcard size. Two reasons. One is that you won't have
to fold and there are 4 menu's on one sheet. Just take a scissor.... and done!
The most important reason is that otherwise your menu won't fit on a plate.

Open a new image 400 X 500 and fill with white.
Or open one of the backgrounds from the ZIP.

Decorate your Christmas Menu as you like best. You can use
other pastel colors beside white for the background but keep the colors light.
If you don't, you won't be able to read the text. A second good reason not to use a
dark color background is that it saves money. With dark you use a lot of ink to print.

I assume that you have used your imagination and created a nice menu.
Of course you can't forget to put in some mouth watering food.
Use a nice but readable font. (Look at the screenshot below).
Here you'll find a site with Christmas diner idea's.

The Menu I made:

So now you all know what we are having for Christmas hahaha.
No special or fancy stuff this year. My daughter, son in law and my
grandsons will be over here and the boys don't like mustard soup LOL.

Recapitulate.........
Make your own menu or use a template.
When done...... fill in your Christmas meal.
Use a font that is easy to read.

After each sentence:
Layers > Convert to raster.

Move  the text in place.

When your Christmas Menu is done you need to merge.

Layers > Merge > Merge flatten.

Image > Rotate > Clockwise.
This is so we can use the Avery Template that we are going to pick later.
It is possible your printer settings are set on landscape
. Go to your printer settings
and change it to portrait. Your sheet has to be portrait otherwise it won't work.
It needs to change to landscape the moment we use the template.

You can also do it like this later.......
In the next step > Print preview:
File > Printer settings > Set your printer to portrait.

Now let's print us a menu.
Notice, always make a test print first.

Now we want to print our menu.
Use the thickest paper your printer can handle. Here in Europe we
use grams to define our paper weight. Here is a link for you to convert.
Every printer can handle different weights. My printer can have 200 gram
paper but maybe other printers can only handle 160 or 180 gram paper.
The smart thing to do is buy different lose sheets at a print shop to test first.
See how thick (paper) your printer can handle. Buying test sheets
first can save you a lot of money later. A lesson I learned years ago.

Now for the print.....

File > Print preview.

You will get a new window. You see your menu at the
left and your paper to print on in the right window.

Now we need to choose a template.
If your PSP doesn't have the templates install PSP again.
Notice.... Only official PSP programs have the templates on CD.

File > Open template.

This is the window for the templates:

Use the following options:
Top left > Avery International.
At the right click number C2541.
Click OK.

You will see the sheet changing to landscape and it has 4 rectangles now.

You can drag and drop the menu from the left to your print sheet.
Keep dragging and dropping the menu until the 4 rectangles are filled.

Because we use a template we are not able
to
change the menu size. It just flits LOL.

When done printing, cut out your gift 4 menu's with a scissor.
Save your menu for future use.

When done you can dress up the menu with a
glitter pen or glitter glue after it is printed out.

Oh a last tip...... if you want your menu larger....
No problem. Just pick another template. It always fits.

Your Printable Christmas Menu is done.
I hope you like this tutorial.
Thank you for putting it to the test.

Season Greetings from my home to yours.
Enjoy your Christmas meal!
