Wall Candle Holder

et started. Good luck.....

Open new image 350 X 400 > Transparent.

Fore and background color black #000000.
Lock your background color.

In your shapes choose Heart 1.
Size 8, retain style and vector unchecked.


Draw your heart on the middle part of your canvas.
There must be room to add something on top and bottom.

Make sure your heart is upside down:
If not Image > Flip.

New layer.

In your shapes choose the Ellipse.
Same settings.

Draw an ellipse.
About the same size as your heart.

With place the ellipse next to your heart so you have room.

With lasso tool select half the ellipse diagonal.

Hit delete to remove selected part.

With selection rectangle, select the slopes and delete.

Selections > None.

Duplicate this layer.

Image > Mirror.

Place against each other.

Lock your heart layer .
Make sure you're on one of the other layers.

Merge visible.

Select the top, see screen.
Hit delete.
Selections > None.
Move against your heart.

  

Merge visible layers.

Open your background color.
Fore and background both on black.

Open Designs Galore Font  and minimize.

With text tool click your image.
Find Designs Galore Font these settings:

Size 60 and stroke 2.0. Anti-alias checked.
Type under cast letter q and apply.

Convert to raster.
Place this ornament on top of your candleholder.

Repeat typing letter q but size to 48.
Convert to raster.

Place this ornament in the middle.

You see an angle on both parts.
We remove them. Activate your merged layer

Hold shift and draw your selection on both points.
Zoom in, so you can see properly.

Hit delete.

Selections > None.

Merge visible.

Open a new image.

Click your text tool and type with caps lock on. 

 Letter D > Same settings (48).

Convert to raster.

Zoom in.
With lasso tool select the part you see on the screenshot.

We need the candleholder bit. Copy and
paste as a new layer on your  image.

Selections > None.
Remove this layer from your layer palette, we don't need it .

New layer.

Lock foreground color.

In your shapes choose Star 1.
Same settings.

 Draw the star next to the holder so you can see the proportions.
Size it as you see on the screen.
Selection tool (hold shift) select the top of the
star and a little piece from the bottom beam.

Hit delete to remove.

Place these two parts against each other.
Leave the little transparent part open.

Merge visible layers.

Selections > All. Selections > Float.

Effects > 3D effects > Inner bevel.

Go back to your candleholder and repeat these steps.
Floating and the inner bevel.

Open MD-Candle.psp (ZIP) and copy.

Paste as a new layer.

With place on the left.

Duplicate this layer.
Move this candle to the right.
Duplicate.
Place in the middle but lower.

Now go back to your image with the holder.

Make sure you're on the top layer of your candleholder image.
Now paste your holder three times on you candleholder image.

With place over the candles.
You can move your candles if needed.
Satisfied? Merge all layers visible.

You can add a background, like I did.
Save as a transparent gif, or animate.

Your Wall Candle Holder is done.
