Open one of the 5 winter scenes from the ZIP.
All winter scene images are royalty free.
Image > Add borders > 5 Pixels > Symmetric > Red.
With your magic wand select (feather 0) the red border.
Open the MD-Xmasgold.psp from the ZIP.
Foreground to pattern and look for the MD-Xmasgold.jpg.
Texture unchecked (= bleu hand).
If you use another winter scene and think silver matches
better take the MD-XmasSilver.jpg. The same settings.
Fill the selection with the gold pattern.
Effects > 3D-effects > Inner bevel > White.
Effects > 3D-effects > Drop shadow > Black.
Repeat the drop shadow but this time Vert. and Horiz. at - 2.
With your color picker > Click in your image and choose a bleu tint.
I used #406ea0 for my winter scene but there are other
winter scenes in the ZIP with different shades of blue.
Fill the selection with the blue you choose.
Effects > Texture effects > Blinds > Black.
Copy the selection.
Selections > Select none.
Edit > Paste > Paste as a new layer.
It looks like nothing happened but if you check
your layer Pallet you'll see you have two layers now.
Image > Rotate > Free rotation > 90 Degrees to the right.
All layers unchecked (=bleu hand).
Move the pasted part down and to the left until you have this:
Now very carefully select the right side just above the
gold border. Select all the way down to the bottom.
If you use a portrait image instead of a landscape select this:
Click delete to remove the selected part.
Selections > Select none.
Effects > Reflection-effects > Kaleidoscope.
If you use a portrait instead of a landscape use this settings:
All other steps are the same.
Apply.
Edit > Cut.
Edit > Paste > Paste as a new layer.
So now it is in the middle of your image.
In your Layer Pallet select the bottom (background) layer.
Selections > Select all.
Selections > Modify > Contract with 35 pixels.
Now in your Layer pallet select the top layer again (= blue).
Click delete to remove the middle part.
Selections > Select none.
Repeat the drop shadow at 2 and - 2 like before.
If all went well you have this now:
Layers > Merge > Merge all layers flatten.
Image > Add borders > 5 Pixels > Symmetric > Red.
With your magic wand select the red border.
Fill your selection with the gold or silver.
Repeat the inner bevel and the drop shadow at 2 and - 2.
Fill the selection with the blue you choose before.
Effects > Texture effects > Blinds > Black.
Repeat the blinds but this time you need to check Horizontal.
Image > Add borders > 5 Pixels > Symmetric > Red.
With your magic wand select the red border.
Fill your selection with the gold or silver.
Repeat the inner bevel and the drop shadow at 2 and - 2.
Selections > Select none.
Open the MD-Corner-2.psp.
Gold or silver.
Copy the corner.
Edit > Paste > Paste as a new layer.
Move the corner like on the screenshot below.
Repeat the drop shadow at 2.
Open the MD-Corner.psp or MD-Corner-3.psp.
Gold or silver.
Copy the corner of your choice.
Edit > Paste > Paste as a new layer.
Move the corner like on the screenshot below.
Repeat the drop shadow at - 2.
Layers > Merge > Merge all layers flatten.
Your Winter Blues Frame is done.
