Tartan Xmas Frame

Christmas Image and de ZIP with the tubes. Download here.
Eye Candy 3.1: download here.
Extract Eye Candy 3.1 to your Plugin folder in PSP.
Here the result in a stationery.

Open your Christmas Image or use this one below (in the ZIP).

Tartan is de Scottish name for the plaid pattern.
That's why I choose the name Tartan Xmas Frame.
If you want to use more Tartans....... Click this link..
Every letter has it's own index. Every name has its own Tartan.

But h
é........ it's much more fun to create your on pattern and the
colors will fit your image more. That's why the following tip!!.
Make a Tartan like the one in the tutorial by my friend Trudie Ladenius.
I made the Tartan below with the lesson Trudie wrote.
I took a part of the Image above and made the Tartan below. Try it.
If you don't want to make your own... you can grab mine.

 

Copy and paste in PSP.
Do the same with the gold pattern.

Foreground on Pattern and search for your Tartan pattern.
Background to Pattern and find the gold.
The colors to #1E2C04 and #320004.
This way you can switch between pattern and color.

 

Add borders > 5 Pixels symmetric > White.

Select the white border (feather and tolerance to 0) and
fill the selection with your right mouse button. Color #320004.

Effects > 3D effects > Inner bevel.

Effect > 3D effect > Drop shadow.

Repeat the drop shadow but Vert. and Hor. on - 4.

Add borders > 5 Pixels symmetric > White.
Select the white border and fill with your right mouse button (gold pattern).

Again, add 5 pixel borders, white.
Repeat the filling with dark red and the inner bevel.
!!!!No drop shadow.

Add borders > 15 Pixels symmetric > White.
Select the white border and fill with your Tartan pattern.
Repeat the inner bevel and the drop shadow at 4 and - 4.

Again, add 5 pixel borders, white. Select.
Foreground on color and fill with #1E2C04.
Repeat the inner bevel and the drop shadow.

Add borders > 5 Pixels symmetric > White.
Select the white border and fill with your right mouse button (gold pattern).

Again, add 5 pixel borders, white. Select.
Foreground ohm color and fill with #1E2C04.
Repeat the inner bevel. !!!! No drop shadow.

Add borders > 15 Pixels symmetric > White.
Select the white border and fill with your Tartan pattern.

Effects > Distortion effects > Wave.

In your Layer Pallet you'll have a background and a floating selection.

Right click on your floating selection layer > Make layer from selection.

Repeat the inner bevel.

Effects > Plugins > Eye Candy 3.1 > Glow.
Color to #320004.

Repeat drop shadow at 4 en - 4.

Add borders > 5 Pixels symmetric > White.
Fill with the dark red.
Confirm the merging.
Repeat the inner bevel and the drop shadow.

Add borders > 5 Pixels symmetric > White.
Fill with gold.

Add borders > 5 Pixels symmetric > white.
Fill with the dark red.
Repeat the inner bevel. !!!! No drop shadow.

Open the MD-pine.pspimage from the ZIP and copy.
If you like the bow better......... that's in de ZIP too.

Past as a new layer.

Move your tune to the left top border.
Lat your tube have a drop shadow

Your Tartan Xmas Frame is done.
