You can Drag & Drop the below hand
for a easy use of this tutorial.
What you need: Corel
PSP. Download a 30
day trial here.
One ZIP would be to large so I Zipped the files separate so
you can download them one by one. Each ZIP has one file.
Here we go:
20 Images large:
Download here
(720 Kb).
20 Images small: Download here
(260 Kb).
Mask and tubes: Download here (140 Kb).
Save the gradient
mask in your Mask Folder in PSP.
Open all images from the ZIP in PSP.
Save often.
Let's get started. Good luck.....
This tutorial is done in PSP 9.
This is an easy tutorial and very suitable for beginners.
Open one of the 20 Simple Season
large images from the ZIP. You can
also use a nice winter image of your own but make it 375 X 400
first.
Like this:........ open a new image 375 X 400 and select all. Edit > Paste > Paste your image in selection.
Effects > 3D-effects > Buttonize > Color
black.
Selections > Select all.
Selections > Modify > Contract with 60 pixels.
Repeat the 3-D effect > Buttonize.
Selections > Modify > Contract with 15 pixels.
Adjust > Blur > Gaussian blur at
20.
Repeat the 3-D effect > Buttonize.
If all went well you now have this:
Open one of the small images (Simple
Small) from the ZIP.
You can also use a matching image of your own but make
it the same size as my small images first. How?? Open my
image and select all. Paste your own image into selection.
When you have the small image opened:
Layers > Convert to raster.
Layers > Masks load/safe > Mask
load from disk.
Look for the !Circle Gradient
mask you just saved in your mask folder.
Layers > Merge > Merge group.
Copy the image and go back to your frame.
Edit > Paste > Paste as a new layer.
You don't have to
move it.
Layers > Merge > Merge all flatten.
Open the MD-SimpleCandle.psp and copy.
Edit > Paste > Paste as a new layer.
Move
left on the smallest buttonized edge.
Effects > 3D-effects > Drop shadow > Black.
Adjust > Sharpness > Sharpen.
Layers > Duplicate.
Image > Mirror.
You can also use the corners from the
ZIP but if you do don't add the candles.
Open the MD-SimpleTree.psp and copy.
Edit > Paste > Paste as a new layer.
Move
the trees to the left or right at the bottom of your frame.
On what side depends on your image.
Repeat the drop shadow and sharpen as you did before.
Open the MD-SimpleStar.psp and copy.
Edit > Paste > Paste as a new layer.
Move
to the top in the middle.
Layers > Merge > Merge all flatten.
Your Simple Season Frame is
Done.
I hope you like the tutorial and
learned something new.
Thank you for putting it to the test.
I wish
you all a fantastic Holiday Season!
For the frame above I pasted the
Simple-Season-7.jpg into
selection before I used the Gaussian blur and last
3-D > Buttonize.
