Open pattern and tubes in PSP.
All preset shapes can be downloaded from my Jumbo PSP site.

Let's go..... Good luck!!

This tutorial isn't easy, but it has a nice result.
You have to have some knowledge of PSP 7, 8 or 9
and Animation Shop to do this one.

Open the MD-love-pattern.jpg pattern in PSP.
Foreground style to #990264. Background style to pattern.
Find MD-love-pattern.jpg pattern.

Open a new image 450 X 400 transparent.

Select your preset shape.
PSP 7: . PSP 8: . PSP 9: .
In PSP 9, click the arrow and use this one .
Find your heart.

"Anti-alias" checked and line width 5.00. As vector not checked.

Draw your heart.
Look at the screenshot below.
Move a little to the right to get some space for your handles.

Effects > 3D-effects > Inner bevel.

New raster layer.

Go to preset shapes and use this arrow:

Draw from the left to the right.

Image > Rotate > Free rotate 90 to the left. All layers not checked.

Repeat the inner bevel.

Move to the middle (see screenshot below).

Move this layer below your heart layer in your layer palette.

Merge visible layers.

New raster layer.

Use preset shape Ellipse and draw a small circle.

Repeat inner bevel but with width to 10.

Move over the left foot.

Layers > Duplicate.

Move over the right foot.

Take a good look at your canvas..... make sure they align.

Open  MD-ramen.psp in PSP and copy.

Edit > Paste as a new layer.

Move into place. If your heart is to small,
use the deformation tool to resize.

Merge visible layers.

Open the font (in ZIP) and minimize.

Find the Compata Bd BT Font.
Setting: Vector > Size 30 > Stroke 0.0. align left.

Type "Love Machine" or a text of your own.

Convert to raster.

Move into place.

Effects > 3D-effects > Drop shadow.

If you like some other text or a watermark, do this now.
I named my Machine Mar's Design Love Machine.
Don't forget the drop shadow. Merge visible layers.

Open  MD-machine-2.psp and copy the first handle.

Paste as a new layer.

Copy the second handle and paste as a new layer.

Move the left ends over each other.
Don't Merge!!! This is very important.

In your layer palette, move your merged heart layer to the top

Crop  your image.

This is your layer palette. You must have 3 layers.

Save this file as a base machine.

Click 2 times shift + D to make 2 copies.
Minimize the copies for now.

In your first image you put the date.
Do this in 3 steps and don't forget the drop shadow.
In PSP 7 convert to raster. Align these 3 date layers.

In this image, close the layer with the little handle.

Merge visible layers.

Animation Shop doesn't recognize the psp.image extension
from PSP 8 and 9 so we have to save as  PSP 6 or 7 file.
Like this:
Save as > Click options and choose save as  PSP 7 or 6 file.

Let's continue.

Save this image as love-machine-1.psp.
Don't close your image.

Edit > Undo .

Open the layer with the little handle and
close the one with the big handle.

Click the first date window layer (layer is blue).

Adjust > Blur > Motion blur.

Repeat with 02 and 05 text layers.

Merge visible layers.

Save as love-machine-2.psp.
You may close this image. We don't need it anymore.

Open one of the copies you did minimize.

Close the layer with the small handle.

Open  MD-Hearts.psp or draw little hearts with your own text.
Keep the size as the MD-Hearts.psp hearts.

Copy 3 hearts and place against the bottom like this.

Merge visible layers.

Save as love-machine-3.psp.
Don't close this image. We need it again.

Edit > Undo .

Open the layer with the small handle and close the one with the big handle.

Repeat the motion blur on all 3 hearts.

Merge visible layers.

Save as love-machine-4.psp.
You can close this image now.

Open your last copy.

Close the little handle layer.

Put this text into the 3 windows:

The heart in the middle is the preset shape.
The I and U is done with the font we did use before.
Convert all 3 to raster and apply the drop shadow.

Merge visible layers.

Save as love-machine-5.psp.
Don't close yet.

Edit > Undo .

Open the little handle and close the big one.

Repeat the motion blur on the I, heart and the U.

Merge visible layers.

Save as love-machine-6.psp.
You can close your image now.

Start Animation Shop to finish our Love Machine .

In AS click the first button.

The  Wizzard Animation starts.
Follow the screens and hit next.
Make sure all layers are merged  in PSP
or you will have a very strange animation.

This is temporary. We will change this later.

Make sure all layers are in order, use the up and down buttons if needed.

Your animation will now appear in in AS.

Select your frames this way.
Select the first, the third and the fifth.
For all 3 frames:
Animation > Properties for frame > 100.
Leave the second, fourth and sixth frames as they are.
This is how it looks:

F:1 V:100. F:2 V:50
Frame 1 speed to 100, frame 2 speed to 50 and so on.

Click to play.

Happy??? Save your love machine.

The next steps are very important follow them exactly.

Save as > Fill in a name > Save.

In the next screen, click 'Adjust':

This menu appears. I'll show all 3 tabs.

I used #AB577F because it is the background color I use.

Always use a color that suits your image or background.
If you don't, you get a nasty edge around your animation.
You have to play a little with these settings.
Every animation is different.
The opacity can also be different on each image. Use between 15 and 50.
Sometimes you have to use the option "existing color with
an opacity of 100%".  This tab makes or breaks your animation.
If you don't like what you see, click undo and change your settings.

After those 3 tabs click OK.
You are back in the main window. Click: Next.

Wait till this screen is build (no screenshot) and click next.

You see your example, check your edges.
Are they black or blurry, click "Back" and change the settings.

In this window you can see the size of your animation.
In my case 228 kb. Click Finish.

Your Love Machine is done.
I do hope you like it.
