What you need:
PSP 8. Download a 30
day
trial here. ZIP with materials download here.Unzip and open in PSP. I used Eye Candy 3.1 on my text download here.
Open the font and minimize. You'll see it in your text list.
Let's go.....
good luck!!
Open a new image 400 X 400
> Transparent.
Foreground on pattern and find MD-fabric.jpg (ZIP).
Open MD-windowshape.psp and copy. Edit > Paste > Paste as a new layer.
With your magic wand select the grey border.
Selections > Modify > Expand 1 Pixel.
Effects > 3D-effects > Inner bevel (color white).
Copy the selection.
Select the white area.
Selections > Modify > Expand 1 Pixel.
Layers > New raster layer.
Fill the selection with MD-fabric pattern.
Repeat the inner bevel.
Effects > 3D-effects > Drop shadow.
Repeat with Horiz. and Vert. to - 2.
Selections > None.
Layers > Merge > Merge visible layers.
Move to top left corner.
Layers > Duplicate.
Image > Mirror.
Image > Flip.
You still have the grey border you did copy to the clipboard Edit > Paste > Paste as a new layer.
With your wand select the inner part of your border.
Selections > Modify > Expand 2 pixels.
Hit delete to remove the middle part.
Move the empty raster to the right.
Make sure you align and it have to look like this now:
Layers > Duplicate.
Image > Mirror.
Image > Flip.
Copy your raster image.
Edit > Pste > Paste as a new layer.
The last raster border is nicely in the middle.
Remove the little pieces by selecting and delete or erase.
Select the light borderline in your raster.
Hold ctrl-key and in your layer palette go one layer down.
Select the light grey also.
Go one layer down and select also the grey hi-light.
If all went well you have this:
Selections > Selections load/save > Save to alpha channel.
Click save on the next screen (Selection 1 is OK).
It came to my attention that some people have
difficulties with saving the selections.
That's why I put the selections for PSP 7 and 8 in a ZIP.
Download the selections here.
Extract to your folder selections in 7 or in your folder selections in your
PSP 8 folder in my documents. The *. sel extension is used in PSP 7.
Selections > None.
Layers > Merge > Merge visible layers.
Foreground color to #E0686B Background color to #A02020.
Hit
and use an elegant font.
I used ChaseCallasSH. It's in the ZIP.
B for Bold > Size36 > Stroke1,0 > Anti-alias checked.
Type your text.
Convert to raster (all
versions).
Image > Rotate > Free > 25
Left.
Effects > Eye Candy 3.1 > Glass > Color #808080.
Repeat same drop shadow as before Horiz. and Vert. at 2.
If you type a second line, repeat the Eye Candy, rotate and drop shadow.
The same in the other window.
I used "For You" and "My Friends".
Open MD-divider.psp and copy. Edit > Paste > Paste as a new layer.
With place in the empty raster window right.
Repeat the paste and place in the window left.
Layers > Merge > Merge visible layers.
Selections > Load from alpha channel.
Duplicate this layer twice.
You have three layers.
Select the toplayer (= blue).
Adjust > Noise/.... > Add noise.
Repeat on layer 2 and 3 but change the
amount to 35 (layer2) and 45 (layer 3).
Save as windows.psp and open in Animation Shop.
Click to play.
Zoom out = minus key.
You see 3 frames.
Hit Ctrl A and you have selected them all.
Go back to PSP and copy MD-hangroses.psp.
Go back to Animation Shop.
Edit > Paste > Paste as a new animation.
Copy again in AS to the clipboard.
It's the only right thing to do.
If you paste out of PSP your sizes are wrong.
Watch!! The fun part.......
Click the little windows (hand right).
Edit > Paste > Paste into selected frame.
I have this button (left hand) in my taskbar. Very easy.
Look careful where you place the roses.
Make sure the bow is in the middle on top.
You will see one frame first.
Let go and AS paste in all three frames.
Isn't this nice? AS paste all three at the same time
and the same place.
I hope you did like it.
