What we need........
Filter Attacs: download here.
Use Setup.exe to install.
VM Extravaganza Shoutin'! (free): download here.
Extract VM filter to your folder plugins in PSP.
Restart PSP, to make your plugins to load properly.
Tube and fonts are in this ZIP.
Extract MD-bubby-banner.jgd to your folder
'Gradients' in PSP 7 or in PSP 8.
Let's go and get on with this.....
Good luck!!
Open Rainbow-bg.jpg.
In your layer palette > Promote background to layer.
Hit 2 X Shift and D at the same time to copy twice.
Effects > Plugins > VM Extravaganza > Shoutin'!.
Use your wand .
These settings:
Click into the white somewhere. To make sure:
Selections > Modify > Select similar.
Hit delete to remove the white.
Selections > None.
Effects > 3D effects >
Inner bevel.
Selections > None.
Image > Resize 75 %
> All layers unchecked.
Copy the bars and paste on the second image.
Use selection, rectangle and select about 2/3 of the bars.
Work precisely and make sure you select a whole bar.
Zoom in if you need to.
Cut selected part.
Selections > None.
Effects > Drop shadow.
Paste the other part as a new layer.
Repeat the drop shadow.
Move the 2 parts aside, so you have space between them.
Not to close to the edges, we have to use the
plugin next and will lose something!.
Left bars a little to the top, right bars a little to the bottom.
Merge visible.
Layers > New raster layer.
Select a part of this new layer.
Copy your last copy of (copy 3) Rainbow-bg.jpg. Edit > Paste > Paste into selection.
Effects > 3D effects >
Inner bevel.
Effects > 3D effects >
Same drop shadow.
Merge visible layers.
Effects > Plugins > Filter Attacks.
Filter Atacks has many filters, you have to try them all!
For this tutorial I did use the second.
You must set your settings with a little feeling.
Look at the position of the buttons and adjust to your own liking.
Apply.
Open Rose.pspimage.
Copy and paste as a new layer .
With move your roses to a corner of your own choice.
Option: Image > Mirror or flip.
Open MD-star.tub.
Copy and past as a new layer .
With move to a spot of your own choice.
Open Sloop ScriptThree and the Tangerine XCn fonts I provided in the ZIP.
Minimize. They show up in your text tool.
Foreground color locked, Background color to gradient.
Find MD-bubby-banner gradient.
Click with your mouse in the middle of your image.
These settings.
Every little hand is a pointer.
A menu appears, where you can type your text.
If it's O.K. 'apply'.
With put in place.
Effects > 3D effects >
Drop shadow as before.
You don't have to convert.
PSP 8 will do it for you. Hit OK.
You must have this now:
Lock your text layer .
Click again in your image.
Find Tangerine Xcn.
Click the black arrow.
We use this for the second part of our settings.
Especially Miterlimit and Kerning is important with this font.
Type your text.
I typed this:
"Just wanted you
to know that...".
I did use the English because I dedicate this tag to my dear friend Trudie
who is doing all my translations but............ you can type your own lines.
Effects > Same drop shadow.
PSP 8, 9 & 10 converts for you.
Lock of this text layer as well .
Click your image.
Type your next line.
"I was thinking
of you today".
Effects > Same drop shadow.
PSP 8, 9 & 10 converts.
Lock this text layer too .
Then my last lines:
"Thanks for
being my Friend".
Effects > Same drop shadow.
PSP 8, 9 & 10 converts.
Lock this layer too .
You will have 4 layers locked.
Because I like a pause in my animation
I will save a blank layer. So we will have
in Animation Shop 5 frames later.
