My Pets & Photo Tag
(PSP all versions)

A tutorial by Mar ©2006

What you need:
Corel PSP. Download a 30 day trial here.
Materials:
Download here.
Open all images from the ZIP in PSP.

Open the font
and minimize.
You'll see it in your text tool now.

Let's get started with My Pets & Photo Tag.
Save often.
Good luck and enjoy.....

Open a new image 500 X 400 > Transparent.

Foreground to pattern and look for MD-Petspattern.jpg.
Texture unchecked (=blue hand).

Fill your image with the pattern.

Open a new image 350 X 300 and fill with #f0e2cc.
Copy and go back to your other image.

Edit > Paste > Paste as a new layer.

Open the MD-PetsFrame.psp and copy.
Edit > Paste > Paste as a new layer.

You didn't have to move the layers until now.
They are in the right spot so leave it at that.

Open a new image 200 X 300 and fill with #e4c275.

Open the MD-Petsmask.jpg.

Layers > New mask layer > From image.

Look for the MD-Petsmask.jpg and apply.
Invert mask data checked.

Layers > Merge > Merge group.

Copy and go back to your Tag image.

Edit > Paste > Paste as a new layer.

Move to the right as on the screenshot.

In the Layer Palette > Move this layer one position down.
The corners have to be beneath the corners of the frame.

Open a photo of your pet and make it 145 X 265 or shorter.
You have to keep the 145. The 265 can be another smaller size.
You can do this by cropping or by opening a new image 145 X 2.....
Select all > Go to your photo. Copy your photo and go to
Edit > Paste > Paste into selection. Take a close look at your
photo and make sure it isn't deformed. I prefer to crop it first.
You can also use the images I added in the ZIP for you.

If you are done > Copy your photo.

Edit > Paste > Paste as a new layer.

Move your photo to the left next to the yellow sheet.

If all went well you have something like this:

Open the MD-BlackPawsmask.jpg.

Open a new image 110 X 85 and fill with black.

Layers > New mask layer > From image.

Look for the MD-BlackPawsmask.jpg and apply.

Layers > Merge > Merge group.

Copy and go back to your tag.

Edit > Paste > Paste as a new layer.

Move to the top left as the screenshot shows.

Background to black and foreground locked.

Click and look for the opened One Way font. That's in the ZIP.
Size 30 > Stroke 0,0 > B for Bold > Anti-alias checked or sharp.

Type the name of your pet or use the word pets.
If your pet has a long name you might have to adjust
the size of the font so it still fits in the corner.

Layers > Covert to raster.

Image > Rotate > Free rotation > 30 Degrees left.
All layers unchecked (= blue hand).

Move your text to the bottom corner.

Open the MD-Paperclip and copy.

Edit > Paste > Paste as a new layer.

Move the small paperclip over the photo.

Put some small photos or notes on the yellow memo sheet. There
are some nice pet tubes for you to decorate in the ZIP: MD-Pets.psp.

Of course you can use this Tag for other themes too.
Make a photo collage of your kids, grandkids, or other photos.

Your My Pets & Photo Tag is done.
