I left the filename intact as requested.
Thanks for these gorgeous tubes.

Let's get started. Good luck.....
I named this tutorial Deception since PSP gives
you the
opportunity to make things different as they are by
changing the layer mode and moving things around.
Besides.... it is harder to come up with a good name
every time as it is to write the tutorial its self...... LOL.
Open a new image 400 X 400 > Transparent.
Foreground to: #FFFFFF.
Background to: #404040.
Foreground style to gradient.
Look for the " Fore-back" gradient.
Texture unchecked (blue hand).
Fill your image with
the gradient.
Layers > Duplicate.
Rotate > Free rotation > 90 Degrees left.
Selections > Select all.
Selections > Modify > Contract with 25 pixels.
Selections > Invert.
Click delete to remove.
Selections > None.
Effects > 3D-effects > Inner bevel
> White.
Now select the bottom layer (= blue).
Repeat the inner bevel like above.
Go back to your top layer (= blue).
Open the tube by Patry mist & tubes from the ZIP and copy.
Edit > Paste > Paste as a new layer.
Move
the tube as on the screenshot below.
Make sure the edge of the rose stays inside the inner frame.
This space is needed to select (with feather) the flower later.
Effects > 3D-effects > Drop
shadow > Color #004040.
Shadow on a new layer checked.
Lock the top layer for now and select the layer beneath (=blue).
If you look close you'll notice the number 1
on the top two layers.
Click the top layer once and the layer beneath twice
until it says 'None' like the layers beneath them.
You have
to click on number 1. The lock gets grey instead of blue.
If you don't unlock, the layers stay connected (a pair).
We don't want that although it can be useful sometimes.
This is as it should be.
Now select the second layer from the top (= blue).
Image > Change size > 125 % > Bicubic.
Change size for all layers unchecked (= blue hand).
Now select
the flower part with your lasso tool
(feather 25).
The yellow line tells you where about you need to click.
Adjust > Hue and saturation > Colorize.
PSP 7 users need to go to Colors > Colorize.
Selections > None.
Unlock your rose and put the mode of the layer to "Hard Light".
Now move the rose and the shadow layer a bit to the left.
Open the MD-Deseption-House.psp and copy.
Edit > Paste > Paste as a new layer.
Move this layer between the rose and its shadow layer.
Put the layer mode to 'Soft Light' and put the opacity to 50.
I have given the layers a name for you to see what I mean.
From the bottom up..... Two times bottom, shadow, house & rose.
Move the house to the bottom left side of the inner frame.
Open the Jax~BareTrees.psp and copy.
Edit > Paste > Paste as a new layer.
Put the mode of this layer to 'Soft Light'.
Move the trees like on the screenshot below.
Open the MD-Deseption-Glows.psp and copy.
Edit > Paste > Paste as a new layer.
Move the lights over the trees.
Open the MD-Deseption-Electric-Bar.psp and copy.
Edit > Paste > Paste as a new layer.
Move to the top of the list. See screenshot.
Layers > Duplicate.
Image > Flip.
With your lasso select the bottom part of your rose that sticks out. Select the rose layer (= blue). Click delete to remove it.
Selections > None.
Put a nice text in your tag using a nice font.
I used Mr Leopolde. I have added it in the ZIP for you.
Give your text a nice shadow 2-2-70-5. Same green as before.
Don't forget to uncheck 'Shadow on new layer' first.
Layers > Merge > Merge all
layers flatten.
Layers > Duplicate. Repeat this. You have 3 layers now.
Select the middle part of the piece we are going to use as a light.
Hold your Shift key down and select the same part in the bottom one.
If all went well you are at the top layer (= blue).
Adjust > Brightness/Contrast > Brightness/Contrast to 30-15.
If you want a brighter light, you can also use 40-20 or 50-20.
Select the layer beneath and repeat the effect but this time at 15-10.
If you used a higher light on the other layer,
use a higher value this time too (25-15).
Save as deception.psp.
PSP 7 users can just save as.
PSP 8 - 9 and 10 users......
Because Animation Shop doesn't recognize *.pspimage you have to save as *.PSP.
This can be done in 2 different ways:
Use this one for all early 8 and 9 versions.
Animation Shop doesn't recognize *.pspimage from
PSP 8 and 9 so we save as a PSP 7 or 6 file. Like this:
Save as > Click options and save as a *.psp 6 or 7 compatible file.
Use this one for the latest versions.
The latest PSP 9 and all PSP X versions have the option to
directly save as PSP for Animation Shop.
Look in the pull down menu and select Animation Shop (*psp).
Now open your deception.psp in Animation Shop (AS)
.
You have 3 frames. Zoom in and out again. Now you see them.
Click Ctrl-A to select all frames.
Animation > Properties for frame > Set your frame
time at 75.
Now only click the last frame and put it to 200.
Name your animation and save as GIF.
Your Deception Tag is done.
I hope you like this tutorial and learned some new things.
