What you need:
PSP. Download a 30
day trial here.
Materials:Download here.
Open all images from the ZIP in PSP. Open the font and minimize.
Since not everybody can open the MANDARNN.PFM font I added a
second
Oriental font to the ZIP. The first one is much nicer so if you can
open it......
You'll see the font in your text tool now.
Save often.
Let's get started. Good luck.....
This tutorial is very
easy and most suitable for beginners.
Advanced PSP-ers don't learn much but it is a nice tutorial to do.
Open a new image 400 X 400 >
Transparent.
Foreground to: #920000.
Background to: Black.
Foreground style to gradient.
Look for the " Fore-back" gradient.
Texture unchecked (blue hand).
Fill your image with
the gradient.
Open the MD-ChinaStripes.psp and copy.
Edit > Paste > Paste as a new layer.
The strips are in the right place so don't move them.
Open the MD-Shadow-1.psp and copy.
Edit > Paste > Paste as a new layer.
The shadow is in the right place so don't move.
Layers > Duplicate.
Image > Change size > 75 % > Bicubic.
Change size for all layers unchecked (= blue hand).
Move
this shadow a little bit up.
Open the MD-Blossom1.psp and copy.
Edit > Paste > Paste as a new layer.
Move
the blossom to the top left.
Open the MD-Blossom2.psp and copy.
Edit > Paste > Paste as a new layer.
Move
the blossom to the top right.
Open the MD-Blossom3.psp and copy.
Edit > Paste > Paste as a new layer.
Move
the blossom in between the other two blossoms.
If all went well you must have this now:
Open the MD-ChineesText.psp and
copy.
Edit > Paste > Paste as a new layer.
Move
right
like on the screenshot below. .
Open the MD-Dragon.psp and copy.
Edit > Paste > Paste as a new layer.
Move
the dragon like on the screenshot below.
Open the MD-China.psp and copy.
Edit > Paste > Paste as a new layer.
Move
the china to the bottom left (see screenshot).
Last open the MD-Shadow-2.psp and copy.
Edit > Paste > Paste as a new layer.
If you don't see your pasted shadow, take your
tool.
It selects the shadow right away. Now you can move it with that tool.
Move the shadow below your china but let it stick out al little at the
bottom.
In your Layer Palette move this layer beneath your china layer.
Layers > Merge > Merge all
layers flatten.
Background to #ffc66f and foreground locked.
Click
and look for the opened TAKE.TTF. That's in the ZIP.
Size 28 > Stroke 0,0 >
B for Bold > Anti-alias checked or Sharp.
Type your text. I used "Chinese Corner".
In your Layer Palette convert to raster.
Effects > 3D-effects > Inner bevel >
Color #a76252.
Your China Tag is done.
