What you need:
PSP. Download a 30
day trial here.
Materials:Download here.
Mura's Copies: download here.
Unzip the filter into the plugin folder of PSP. Close and restart PSP otherwise your filter won't work.
Open all images from the ZIP in PSP.
Open the font and minimize.
You'll see it in your text tool now.
Go back to your tag.
Edit > Paste > Paste as a new layer.
It is in the middle so leave it at that. Don't move.
Foreground locked.
Background to #ed0000.
Click
and look for the opened Aurora BdCn BT font. That's in the ZIP.
Size 22 > Stroke 0,0 >
B for Bold > Anti-alias checked or Sharp.
It is important to have the alignment set to center!
Move your mouse over the left
side of your ellipse.
The shape of your mouse pointer changes.
The A gets rotated and gets underlined.
Looks like a rocker.
Click about the point where the A is in the screenshot.
So exactly in the middle of the two left bottom nodes.
Type all in capitals:
"Welcome to Spring".
If you use another text line, maybe you have to begin
your text on another place or use the spacebar first.
The text has to begin at the bottom
against the flowers (see screenshot).
Shift-D to duplicate your image.
At your duplicate image:
Go to your Layer Pallet.
Click the plus sign of the Vector layer.
You will see a menu.
Close your ellipse (circle) layer.
Layers > Merge > Merge all
layers flatten.
Save this image as spring-ani.psp.
Don't close!
Go back to your original image.
Now click in your text until you have the original text back.
It may take a few times trying and clicking before you have the
original
text.
Remember, you don't want to add a new text. You want to edit the
original text.
I always try to get the rocker back on my mouse pointer before I
click the text.
Now put your mouse pointer in front of your text.
Click 6 times on your spacebar.
(Like this: <<<<<< and now the text).
You see your text moving to the right and up. Apply.
Shift-D to duplicate your image.
On the duplicate:
Lock out the ellipse (circle) like you did before.
Layers > Merge > Merge all
layers flatten.
Copy the image and go to your spring-ani.psp.
Edit > Paste > Paste as a new layer.
You can close the duplicate now.
You don't need it anymore.
Your spring-ani.psp now has 2 layers.
Rename them 1 and 2.
Go back to your original image.
Again click in the text like you did before.
Put your mouse pointer in front of the text.
Again hit the spacebar 6 times so your text moves up.
Shift-D to duplicate your image.
On the duplicate:
Lock out the ellipse (circle) again.
Layers > Merge > Merge all
layers flatten.
Copy the image and go to your spring-ani.psp.
Edit > Paste > Paste as a new layer.
You can close the duplicate now.
You don't need it anymore.
Your spring-ani.psp now has 3 layers.
Rename the last layer 3.
Go on until the text is at the top and touching the flowers.
That is another two times with this text. Rename 4 and 5.
Now we are going to perform some magic....
In your Layer Pallet > Duplicate layer 4 and move it above layer 5.
Duplicate layer 3 and move it above the copy of layer 4.
Duplicate layer 2 and move it above the copy of layer 3.
Duplicate layer 1 and move it above the copy of layer 2.
Your Layer Pallet has to look like this:
If you like you can clone the chicks eyes shut on
layer 3 and on copy of layer 3 like in my examples below.
Make sure you have that layers selected when you do (=bleu).
Lock all layers above that layer so you can see what you do.
When done, unlock all layers before you save.
Again save your image as spring-ani.psp.
Notice the steps below..... you need to make sure
Animation Shop can open your image so..........
PSP 7 users can just save as
spring-ani.psp.
PSP 8 - 9 and 10 users......
Because Animation Shop doesn't recognize *.pspimage
you have to save as *.PSP.
This can be done in 2 different ways:
Use this one for all early 8 and 9 versions.
Animation Shop doesn't recognize *.pspimage from
PSP 8 and 9 so we save as a PSP 7 or 6 file. Like this:
Save as > Click options and save as a *.psp 6 or 7 compatible file.
Use this one for the latest versions.
The latest PSP 9 and all PSP X versions have the option to
directly save as PSP for Animation Shop.
Look in the pull down menu and select Animation Shop (*psp).
Now open your spring-ani.psp in Animation Shop (AS)
.
You have 9 frames.
Zoom in and out again. Now you see them.
Click Ctrl-A to select all 9 frames.
Animation > Properties for frame > Set your frame time
at 50.
Click
to play your animation.
Name your animation and save as GIF.
How to: look at the bottom of this tutorial.
Your Welcome to Spring Tag is done.
I hope you like this tutorial and learned some new things.
Thank you for using my tutorials.
The animation below has less letters in the text.
I had to use more layers before I was at the top (15 total).
The more frames, the slower your frame speed has to be in AS.
I used 65 for the Mar's Design animation below.
