(PSP all versions)
A tutorial by Mar © 2005.

What you need:
Jacs PSP. Download a 30 day trial here.
ZIP with materials:
Download here.
Open all images in PSP.
Sinedots II. Download here.
Eye Candy 3.1. Download here. Install the plugins,
close and restart PSP otherwise the filters won't work.

Save often.
Let's go.
Good luck.....

Open a new image 400 X 400 > Transparent.

Foreground to gradient and look for the rainbow gradient.
You can also use another gradient if you like.
Style to linear (the first of the 4 styles).
Texture (bleu hand) unchecked.

Fill your image with the gradient.

Effects > 3D-effect > Plugins > DragonFly > Sinedots II.
All settings like on the screen below. Look carefully so you get them all.
If you are done with the settings, you can save the egg for future use. (Bleu hand).

Apply.

With deformation push the ball to the right until you have a nice
egg shape. Push a little down too so you get some working space.

With move to the middle of your canvas.

Now with select (settings to rectangle) the top.

Click delete to remove the top.
Selections > All.
Selections > Float.
Selections > Defloat (sounds silly but it really works that way).

Hold shift key down and select with the inner part of the
egg and the foot so you have all selected. See the red line below.

Layers > New raster layer.

Foreground to #00c0c0.
Background to #ffc0ff.
You can also use two other colors if you like.
Foreground to gradient (linear) and
look for the fore-background gradient.
Texture (bleu hand) unchecked.

Fill the selection. You probably have to click several times
to fill the selection right. Do so until you have filled all.

In the layer pallet, move this layer down.

Layers > Merge > Merge visible.

Select with (rectangle) the foot.

Effects > Texture effects > Sculpture > Silver pattern > Color #3bdcec.

Open a new image 150 X 150, transparent.
Fill with #218693 (dark sea blue) or (bright pink) #e356fa.

Effects > 3D-effect > Plugins > DragonFly > Sinedots II.

All settings like on the screen below. Look carefully so you get them all.
If you are done with the settings, you can save it as a bow. (Bleu hand).

Layers > Duplicate. Repeat 2 times.

Layers > Merge > Merge visible.

Move your half bow to the right.
Layers > Duplicate.
Image > Mirror.

Open the MD-jewel.pspfrom the ZIP and copy or use a jewel of your own.

Paste as a new layer.

With place the jewel in place.

Layers > Merge > Merge visible.
Copy the bow and go back to your egg image.

Edit > Paste > Paste as a new layer.

Put it at the bottom or on top of your egg.

Repeat making a bow but make it another color.
Paste as a new layer.

Image > Flip.

Put on top or at the bottom (depends on where you placed the first bow).

Layers > Merge > Merge visible layers.

Because it is really difficult to save a Sinedots image as a GIF, I don't
recommend that
. You better place it on a background and save as JPG.

Open your own background or use MD-Silk.jpg from the ZIP.
You can colorize if you
want it to fit the colors you used to make your egg.

Copy the egg.

Edit > Paste > Paste as a new layer.
Move your egg with to the left.

Effects > Eye Candy 3.1 > Perspective Shadow > Color black.

Repeat Eye Candy Perspective Shadow.

Now you can move your egg back to the middle.
This way your shadow isn't cut off.

Layers > Merge > Merge all flatten.
Save as a JPG.

You Sinedot II egg is done.
I hope you like it and learned something.
