Let's get started. Good luck.....
A simple tutorial that
can be done by PSP beginners.
Open a new image 400 X 400 > Transparent.
Foreground to the
MD-EasterGold.jpg pattern
from the ZIP.
Background to the MD-EasterRed.jpg from the ZIP.
Texture unchecked (=blue hand).
Fill your image with your right mouse button (the
dark red).
Effects > Reflection effects > Kaleidoscope.
Layers > New raster layer.
Fill this layer with the gold pattern.
Selections > Select all.
1. Selections > Modify > Contract with 3
pixels.
Click delete to remove the center part.
Selections > Modify > Contract
with 3 pixels.
Fill your selection with the gold pattern.
2.
Selections > Modify > Contract with 3 pixels.
Click delete to remove the center part.
Selections > Modify > Contract
with 3 pixels.
Fill your selection with the gold pattern.
3.
Selections > Modify > Contract with 3 pixels.
Fill your selection with the gold pattern.
You now have three gold borders.
Selections > None.
Adjust > Sharpness > Sharpen.
Open the MD-Vector-circle.psp and copy.
Go back to your tag.
Edit > Paste > Paste as a new layer.
It is in the middle so leave it at that. Don't move
it.
Foreground locked.
Background to the gold pattern.
Click
and look for the opened Andes font. That's in the ZIP.
Size 48 > Stroke 0,0 >
B for Bold > Anti-alias checked or Sharp.
It is important to have the alignment set to center!
Move your mouse over the top of your ellipse.
The shape of your mouse pointer changes.
The A gets rotated and gets underlined.
Looks like a rocker.
Click about the point where the white A is in the screenshot.
So exactly in the middle next to the top node.
Because of the node (that is exactly in the middle) it is
not possible to click on that spot. So you have to start your
text with a space to move your text a little to the right.
Type your text.
If you use another text line, maybe you have to begin
your text on another place or use the spacebar more often.
Go to your Layer Palet.
Click the plus sign of the Vector layer.
You will see a menu.
Close your ellipse (circle) layer.
Layers
> Convert to raster.
Effects > 3D-effects > Drop shadow > Color
black.
Open the MD-Easter-Bunny.psp and copy.
Go back to your tag.
Edit > Paste > Paste as a new layer.
Move
the Easter bunny like on the screenshot below.
Repeat the drop shadow
as you did before.
If you are satisfied:
Layers > Merge > Merge all layers
flatten.
Open the MD-EasterCorner.psp and copy.
Go back to your tag.
Edit > Paste > Paste as a new layer.
Put
the corner at the top left.
Make sure it connects with the gold border.
Repeat the drop shadow
as you did before.
Layers > Duplicate.
Image > Mirror.
Lock your background for now.
Layers > Merge > Merge visible layers.
Layers > Duplicate.
Image > Flip.
Unlock your background.
Layers > Merge > Merge all
flatten.
Your Easter Tag 2 is done.
