Victorian Frame
(PSP 8
, 9 & 10)

What you need:
PSP 8. A 30 day's trial download here.
 
Ulead ArtTexture.Plugin
(Free filter).
Double-click the exe file and install in PSP 8.
 ZIP with Overlay and  Corners download here.
Unzip Overlay and Corner and open in PSP.
An image. I used this one by Franz Xavier Winterhalter.
If you use another image, make sure it's square.
 You can crop if you need to.

Save often.
Let's go
. Good luck.....

Open a new image 350 X 350 > Transparent.
Fill with any color.

Effects > plugins > Ulead > ArtTexture.
Click 'Edit' and use Pallet 5 (gold).
Pick the last pattern bottom right.
Apply.

Foreground color to #E4D980 background color locked.

Go to Preset shapes this setting:



Don't forget, line width to 10!

Hold shift en draw your shape.
Pull and make your shape match every arrow.
Top, bottom and edges.

Use  this setting:

Click your shape to select.

Effects > Texture > Sculpture.
Confirm removing selection.



Color #8D824A -
Pattern gold.

Apply.

In your layer palette, you have 3 layers now.

Make sure Vector 1 is activated.

Image > Resize 115 Percent (All layers unchecked).

Click the new border with your magic wand and apply the Sculpture.

Close your bottom layer, you have 4 layers now .

Merge visible.
C
ut and paste this merged layer as a new layer.
You have your borders exact in the middle this way.
Repeat merging visible layers.
Bottom layer is still locked off.

With your wand click in the middle of your frame.

Selections > Modify > Expand 3 pixels.

New raster layer.

Open the image you want to use and copy.
Paste into selection.

Move this layer below your 2 frame layer.

New layer.

Effects > 3D effects > Cut out.

New layer.

Repeat but with Vertical en Horizontal at - 8.

Merge visible layers.
You have two layers left.

Open and activate your bottom layer (=blue).

Selections > Invert.

Effects > Artistic effects > Halftone.



Pattern is Square.

Selections > None.

Add borders > 10 Pixels > color f.e. a bright blue.
Confirm merging.
Because you used a different color you can
easily select your border now. Fill with #E4D980.

Repeat the sculpture effect.

Add borders > 25 Pixels.

Effects > Plugins > Ulead > ArtTexture.
Same settings.

Repeat Effects > Artistic effects > Halftone.
Your settings are still there so apply.

Add borders > 10 Pixels.
Fill again with #E4D980.

Repeat the sculpture effect, same settings.

Effects > 3D Effects > Drop shadow.

Repeat but with Vertical and  Horizontal at - 6.

Open  MD-Victorian-overlay.pspimage (ZIP).
Copy and paste as a new layer.
If the overlay doesn't fit exactly use  and adjust the size.
If you did
adjust > sharpen > sharpen once.

Open MD-Victorian-corner.pspimage (ZIP).
Copy and paste as a new layer.
With
place top left corner.

Effects > 3D Effects > Drop shadow.
Same setting but  Vert. and Hor. at 2.

Layer Palette > Duplicate.

 Image > Mirror.

Layers > Duplicate.

 Image > Flip.

Layers > Duplicate.

 Image > Mirror.

Merge all layers.

Your  Victorian Frame is done.

If you want your frame in a different color,
Use another ArtTexture palette and pattern.
The overlay, corners and ArtTexture you can adjust using colorize.
