Open your picture and pick two colors as your
fore- and background colors (colorpicker). Image > Add a border > 10 Pixels. Selections > Select all.
Selections > Modify > Contract 10.
Effects > 3D effects > Cut out> Horiz. and Vert.at
4.
Repeat with minus- 4.
Is your picture small, use 3 or 2.
Selections> Invert. Effects > Plugins > DragonFly > RetroDots.
To see the settings, move your preview screen aside.
Adjust your colors first.
Click one of the 3 color boxes. you see a color wheel.
Pick a color with the color picker from your image.
Do the same with each color box.
I picked these colors.
Settings as on the screen print
below.
You can type your values.
Apply. Still selected: Effects > 3D
effects > Inner bevel.
Preset, your own choice or frame. Effects > 3D effects >Drop shadow > Opacity 88, Blur 7.2 & width 4.
Repeat at - 4. A smaller picture? Use 3 or 2.
Selections > None.
Image > Add borders> 15 Pixels.
Select with your magic wand.
Foreground > Gradient
> Linear.
Your fore- and background stay as they are.
Go to the RetroDot-filter switch colors.
I chose this combination and the settings below:
Keep selected.
Effects > 3D
effects > Inner bevel > Frame of your
choice.
Apply.
Repeat the drop shadow as before.
Your frame is done!!
