Cameo in Frame
A  tutorial by Mar © 2003.

What you need is in this ZIP.
Extract the *.BMP files to your folder Patterns in PSP.
Open all other files in PSP when you need them.

Save often.
Let's get started. Good luck!

Open new image 250 X 350
> Transparent.
Foreground color #E4E6E3.
Open MD-Gr-Leather.jpg.
Background > Pattern MD-Gr-Leather.jpg.

Flood fill your image with #E4E6E3.

Open Parelmoerframe.psp
and copy.
Edit > Paste > P
aste as a new layer.

Copy again as a new layer.
Image >
Resize.
Attention!! All layers has to be unchecked.

Take .
Activate your second frame layer, you will see nodes.
Pull the top and bottom node a little upwards and down,
so the space is equal on 4 sides.

Lock layer 1 .
Layers > Merge > Merge visible.



With your wand > click anywhere between the two frames.

Layers > New raster layer.

Flood fill the selection with #E4E6E3.

Effects >
Texture effects > Blinds.
Attention....
Shadow color = #9AA890



Move your blinds
layer below your merged layer.



Make sure you're on the merged layer (
=blue).
Selections >
None.

Effect
s > 3D effects > Drop shadow > Color #9AA890.

Lock layer 1.
Merge visible.

Open layer 1 and activate.

Open  Paspat.psp.
Copy and paste as a new layer.

The pass partout is below your frame layer.

With > Click the oval part.
Selections >
Save to alpha channel.
Selection #1 is fine, click O.K.

Activate layer 1 (blue).
Layers > New raster layer.
Selections >
All.
Flood fill with > MD-Gr-Leather.jpg.

Selections > Load from alpha channel.
Selections >
Expand 2.

Look in your patterns for MD-Gold-4.bmp.

Flood fill the selection.
Selections
> Modify > Contract with 2.

Open  Camee.JPG.
Select an image.
Take your selection tool, oval and select a cameo
or the flowers. Start your selection in the
middle
of the image you want to use. Copy.
Edit >
Paste > Paste into selection.

Effects > 3D effects > Inner bevel:

Open  rose.psp.
Copy and paste the roses on your frame,
use your own imagination.

Layer > Merge > Merge all flatten.

You're frame is done!

You can add a border if you like.
Background #AFB6AC.
Add borders 10 symmetric.
Two choices. Or...... inner bevel> preset frame,
or...... add a drop shadow.
Effects > 3D effects >
Drop shadow.
Shadow color black.

~~ !!! TIP !!! ~~

If you want to use an image of your own.....
Colors > colorize > saturation 71 - hue 14.

Better don't use a dark image.
