What you need:
PSP
Download a 30 day trial here.
The materials: Download here.
Sqirlz Water Refection: Download here.
Install the water reflection program from the ZIP.
This is not a plugin but a separate program so you
don't have to install it into your PSP plugin folder.

Save often.
Let's go
. Good luck.....

Open a image with a water scene.
I used a gorgeous image that was made by a dear friend
of m
ine, Patchesangel. She is a very talented lady.
She granted me permission and she told me you can
all use this one for this tutorial if you want to.
Patchesangel has
so much more beautiful artwork here.
"Thank you so much Patchesangel. As you know, I adore your
work and I am sure the PSP community will love it too".

We are going to start with the frame.

Open ship_of_the_nightpa.jpg from the ZIP.

Foreground to #201f2d.
Background to pattern.
Look for the silver "MD-Silver.jpg" from the ZIP.

Add borders > Symmetric > 5 Pixels > Bleu.

With your magic wand (feather 0 - tolerance 10) select the bleu border.

Fill your selection with your right mouse button, the silver pattern.

Effects > 3D-effects > Inner bevel > Color white.

Add borders > Symmetric > 25 Pixels > Bleu.

With your magic wand select the bleu border.
Fill your selection with #201f2d.

Effects > Texture effects > Weave > #a9abb3.

Effects > Texture effects > Blinds > Horizontal > #51515d.

Effects > Artistic effects > Chrome > #777893.

Add borders > Symmetric > 5 Pixels > Bleu.

With your magic wand select the bleu border.

Fill your selection with your right mouse button, the silver pattern.

Effects > 3D-effects > Inner bevel like before.

Effects > 3D effects > Drop shadow > Color black.

Again drop shadow but this time Vert. and Horiz. to - 4.

Keep your selection active.

Effects > 3D-effect > Outer bevel.

Export or save your frame as ship.jpg.

Open the program Sqirlz Water Refection.
I will lead you step by step thru this program.
Watch the yellow hand to see what steps I mean.

Open your saved ship.jpg.

In your menu click "Begin".

Your mouse changes it shape into a cross.
Now draw a line over the part where you want the water to move.
Do this like you would do with your selection tool in PSP.
Click small pieces at the time over the whole part.
When you are back at your starting point, finish by
clicking your right mouse button. Stay inside the frame.

If all went well you must have something like this now:

In the menu > Outline > Smooth.

If the line is not at your liking you can start over again.
Go to the menu > Outline > Delete.

Settings for the water animation.

The setting below is just a suggestion.
Play with the settings until you're satisfied.

These settings can be changed till you feel it's ok.
By clicking the yellow arrow (bleu hand) you can
preview the result and make changes if you like.

Here is another yellow arrow to view your result.

We are going to save our animation now.

Duration of the animation.

The higher, the heavier your animation will get.

I think 20 is acceptable myself.

If you are satisfied with the animation:
Animate > Make AVI File.

Save the file as ship2.avi. Remember.....
no spaces, dots or lines in the name.
If you do, you won't be able to open in AS.

You'll see the next screen. I filled in 15.

This setting is OK.

It may take some time while the program builds the animation.

Now open Animation Shop (AS) .

Open your avi file.

You will see the next screen. Click OK.

File > save as...... look for GIF in the pull down menu.

You can do this with every water scene. Isn't this nice?
This is also a great way to bring your vacation photo's alive.
Play with the Sqirlz program and see what you can come up with next.

Your Water Reflection Frame is done.
I hope you like this tutorial.
Thank you for trying this one out.
