Layers > Merge > Merge group.

Your ship is now nice in the middles so leave it at that.

Foreground to #adbbd6.
Background to #38496d.
For the other sail
-ships, take two colors (a light one for your
foreground and a darker one for the background) with your color picker.

Foreground to gradient.
Look for the "Fore-background" gradient.
Texture unchecked (blue hand).

Image > Add borders > 10 Pixels > Symmetric > Red.
You can use blue, yellow or red for the other sail-ship images.
See for yourself what color would make a contrast best.

With your magic wand (feather 0 - tolerance 25) select the red border.
Fill the selection with your gradient.

Effects > 3D-effects > Inner bevel > Color white.

With your magic wand select the red border.

You might have to adjust the pattern settings for the
other sail ships. See for your self what you like best.
With PSP 8+ you can click the little dice.

Selections > None.

Effects > Plugins > Flaming Pear > Flood.

Apply.

When you use one of the other sail ships from the ZIP it is possible
that you need to changed the point where the flood starts. Put the
slider for the 'Horizon' setting to the right and look in your example.

Open the MD-Sailwater.psp and copy.

Edit > Paste > Paste as a new layer.
Move the waves on the flooded part.
Watch the shadows so they still match the image.

Image > Add borders > 10 Pixels > Symmetric > Red.
With your magic wand select the red border.
Fill your selection with the gradient.

Repeat the inner bevel and the drop shadow at 2 and at - 2.

Image > Add borders > 5 Pixels > Symmetric > Red.
With your magic wand select the red border.
Fill your selection with the gradient.

Repeat the inner bevel and the drop shadow at 2 and at - 2.

Copy the MD-Sailwater.psp again.
Edit > Paste > Paste as a new layer.
Imager > Mirror.
Move the waves on the
'Soft plastic' part.

If you want to add a watermark, do it now.

Layers > Merge > Merge visible layers.

Duplicate the layer 11 times.
Layers > Duplicate.
You must have 12 layers in total.

Save as saling-frame.psp.

PSP 7 users can just save as.
PSP 8 - 9 and 10 users......
Because Animation Shop doesn't recognize *.pspimage you have to save as *.psp.
This can be done in 2 different ways:

Use this one for all early 8 and 9 versions.
Animation Shop doesn't recognize *.pspimage from
PSP 8 and 9 so we save as a PSP 7 or 6 file. Like this:
Save as > Click options and save as a *.PSP 6 or 7 compatible file.

Use this one for the latest versions.
The latest PSP 9 and all PSP X versions have the option to
directly save as PSP for Animation Shop.
Look in the pull down menu and select Animation Shop (*psp).

Open your saling-frame.psp in Animation Shop (AS) .
You have 12 frames. Zoom in and out again.
Now you see them.

Click Ctrl-A to select all 12 frames.

Also in AS open the birdsflying.gif (in ZIP).
As you see this animation also has 12 frames.

Click Ctrl-A to select this 12 frames too.

You can see if you have selected them all. There has to be a blue
border around each frame. Check your saling-frame.psp too.

Now first go to your birdsflying.gif (still with the blue borders).

Edit > Copy.

In AS you must click the "Propagate paste" button (= yellow hand).

Edit > Paste > Paste in selected frame.
You can also use the icon in your menu (= blue hand).

Take a good look at your mouse.
Put the mouse in position. Click in the first frame.
The animation will be pasted in all frames at the spot your clicked on.
If the birds are not in the spot you wanted, choose undo and try again.

Repeat this step and paste the birds in another place.

Go back to the birdsflying.gif.
Let's mirror the birds.
Animation > Mirror.
And also:
Animation > Reverse frames.

Copy the birds again.
Go back to your frame  and paste the birds in another spot.
If you like it you can also paste some birds outside the first frame.
I pasted my birds 3 times and 2 times mirrored so 5 times in total.

Animation > Properties for frame > Set your frame time at 20.

When done, click to play your animation.

Save your Frame as a Gif and you are done.
