This tutorial is done in PSP 9.

This tutorial is in honor of  Bessie Pease Gutmann (1876-1960).
Perhaps best known for her heartwarming art prints featuring
innocent children during the early part of the twentieth century,
Bessie Pease Gutmann achieved worldwide fame. I remember two of her
baby paintings hanging in my parents house when I was a little girl myself.

Open a new image 400 X 400 and fill with #747c41.

Selections > Select all.
Selections > Modify > Contract with 5 pixels.
Selections > Invert.

Effects > 3D-effects > Inner bevel > Color white.

Layers > New raster layer.

Selections > Select all.
Selections > Modify > Contract with 10 pixels.

Fill the selection with #fefbec.
Selections > Modify > Contract with 10 pixels.
Click delete to remove the middle part.

Selections > None.

Repeat the inner bevel like before.

With your magic wand (feather  0 - tolerance)
click in the middle of the smallest frame.

Selections > Modify > Expand with 1 pixel.

Foreground to pattern.
Look for the "MD-Lullaby-Pattern.jpg" pattern.
Texture unchecked (blue hand).

Fill the selection with the pattern.

Selections > None.

Open and copy the MD-Lullabyframe.psp.

Edit > Paste > Paste as a new layer.
The lace is nice in the middle so leave it at that.

With your magic wand click in the transparent middle of the lace.

Selections > Modify > Expand with 1 pixel.

Layers > New raster layer.
Fill the layer with #fefbec.

Selections > Modify > Contract with 10 pixels.
Click delete to remove the middle part.

Repeat the inner bevel like before.

Open the MD-Lullabyframe-2.psp and copy.

The lace is nice in the middle so leave it at that.

Adjust > Sharpness > Sharpen.

Layers > Merge > Merge all flatten.

Open one of the baby images of Bessie PG.
Shift-D to duplicate. Close the original.

Layers > Promote to layer.

Layers > Masks load/safe > Mask load from disk.

Look for the Circle-gradient mask you just saved in your mask folder.

Layers > Merge > Merge group.

Repeat the Circle-gradient mask step again.
Layers > Masks load/safe > Mask load from disk.
Layers > Merge > Merge group.

Copy the baby and go back to your frame.

Edit > Paste > Paste as a new layer.

Open and copy the MD-Lullabyframe-3.psp.

Edit > Paste > Paste as a new layer.
The decoration is at its right spot so leave it at that.

Repeat the inner bevel like before.

Open the Lullaby-tubes.psp and copy one of the tubes.
Not all tubes are done by me but I had no names to put here.
If one of the tubes is yours, let me know
and I will give you the credits you deserve.

Edit > Paste > Paste as a new layer.
Move your tubes to a place you like best.
Maybe you need to move the baby a little.
For example
:
If you use the green elephant:
Move your baby a little bit down.
If you use the bear: Move the baby a little bit up.
See for your self what is best with the tubes.

Layers > Merge > Merge all flatten.

Your Lullaby Frame is done.
I hope you like this tutorial.
Thank you for putting it to the test.
