What you need:
PSP 8 or 9. Download a 30 day
trial here. Materials: Download here.
Open the mask and gold pattern in PSP.
Save Wirwar.bmp in your folder 'Textures' in PSP. A nice image. I used one by Consuelo Gambia (ZIP).
Save often.

To make sure our image isn't to big
because of the borders, open it in PSP.
Image > copy.
Open a new image 265 X 350 transparent.
Select > All.
Edit > Paste > Paste into selection.
Now we have a nice size to work on.
Sharpen if needed.
Adjust > Sharpness > Sharpen.
Like to use a landscape?
Open a new image 350 X 265 and paste your picture.
In this case, rotate the mask 90 degrees.
Image > Rotate > Free rotate > 90 Degrees to the right.
Open MD-Rupture-mask.jpg mask.
Activate your image.
Layers > New mask layer > From image.
Find MD-Rupture-mask.jpg.
Apply.
Layers > Merge > Merge group.
Edit > Copy.
Open a new image 290 X 375 transparent.
Landscape is 375 X 290 transparent.
Open MD-RuptureGold.jpg.
Foreground style to pattern and find
MD-RuptureGold.jpg. Scaling75%.
Fill the new image with gold.
Layers > New mask layer > From image.
Again find the MD-Rupture-mask.jpg.
Apply.
Layers > Merge > Merge group.
You still have the copy of your first image at the clipboard.
Edit > Paste > Paste as a new layer.
Layers > Merge visible.
Effects > 3D-effects > Drop shadow
Repeat with Horiz. and Vert. to - 2.
New raster layer.
Foreground color to #bc94a2 or use
the to choose a color from your image.
Fill the new layer with color from image.
Effects > Texture effects > Texture.
Find Wigwag you saved to your folder textures.
Drag this layer to the bottom in your layer palette.
