Japanese Screen
(PSP 7, 8, 9 & 10 - no filters)

What you need:
PSP
Download a 30 day trial here.
 ZIP with materials: Download here.
Save Trudie-gold2.bmp in your
PSP folder "Textures".
Open all other images in PSP.

Save often.
Let's go
. Good luck.....

Background color to black #000000.
Foreground color to #584928.

Open the MD-Japanese-base.psp in PSP.

Selections > Selections load/save > Selection load from alpha channel.



Click on the little arrow (blue hand) and choose Screens.


Foreground color to gradient and look for Foreground/Background.
Use Radial gradient. That is the last of the 4 styles.
Make sure Texture is uncheck (blue hand).

Layers > New raster layer.
Fill the 4 screens with gradient.

Open the MD-Japanese-art.psp from the ZIP.
This Japanese art is made by me so no copyrights
infringements.
The birds are not cranes but swans. Sorry.
If you want to use another Japanese image..... go ahead.

Paste > Paste into selection.

Selections > Modify > Contract 5 pixels.
Selections > Invert.

Effects > 3D-effects > Inner bevel > White.

Effects > 3D-effects > Drop shadow > Black.

Repeat drop shadow but this time Horiz. en Vert. at - 2.

Selections > Selections load/save > Selection load from alpha channel.

Click on the little arrow (blue hand) and choose top.

Open the MD-Jap-fill.psp from the ZIP and copy.
Paste > Paste into selection.

Layers > New raster layer.

Effects > 3D effects > Cut out.

Selections > Selections load/save > Selection load from alpha channel.

Click on the little arrow (blue hand) and choose Floor.

Gradient to Linear (the first of 4 styles).

Fill the floor.

Layers > New raster layer.

Effects > 3D-effecs > Cut out.
Change only the vertical to - 12.

Open the MD-Jap-slippers.psp from the ZIP and copy.

Paste > Paste as a new layer.

With move the slippers to the floor.

Effects > 3D-effects > Drop shadow at 2 > Settings as before.

Open one of the 3 lamps from the ZIP and copy.

Paste > Paste as a new layer.

With move the lamp to the floor.

Layers > Merge visible.

Add borders > 5 Pixels > Color #bfa572 > Symmetric.

Select  the new border (feather 0, tolerance 20).

Repeat inner bevel and drop shadow at 2 en - 2.

Add borders > 2 Pixels > Color black > Symmetric.

Add borders > 2 Pixels > Color white > Symmetric.

Select the white border (feather 0, tolerance 20).

Fill tool to pattern and look for Trudie-gold.

Fill the selection with gold.

Add borders > 2 Pixels > Color black > Symmetric.

Add borders > 2 Pixels > Color white > Symmetric.

Select the white border.

Fill your white selection with #bfa572.

Repeat inner bevel like before.

Selections > Select nothing.

Adjust > Sharpness > Sharpen.

Your Japanese Screen is done.
