What you need........
Plugin VM Natural (Sparkle) download here.
Extract to your folder plugins in PSP.
Restart PSP and your plugin will load.
Materials for this tutorial in this ZIP.
Open in PSP the moment you need them.
Here 17 extra bases (1.789 kb) and 5 glasses (389 kb).
You also need an image of a bowling ball.
I prepared 3 pages with bowling balls for you.
Click the image to get the large one. Page 1 -- Page 2 -- Page 3
If you paste an image, you have to select the part you like to use,
Selections : choose circle (Feather 0).
Draw a selection, start in the middle at the ball of your choice.
If your circle isn't in the middle you can move the selection.
Use mover tool
with your right mouse button.
Copy and paste as a new image.
Close the image with the bowling balls.
Assuming your image is about 250 X 250 :
Image > Canvas size > 300 X 400.
Be sure you fill in 20 on top. The other values will adjust.
Open the MD-BG-Glass-tut.psp (ZIP) and copy.
Or open the ZIP with the extra globe bases and use one of them.
Paste as a new layer.
Move over your ball. Make sure it all fits.
You can resize with deformation.
With mover tool
place below your
bowling ball. Be sure it matches and fits.
If needed resize using deformation.
Open the MD-BG-Base-tut.psp
from the ZIP and copy.
Or open the ZIP with t he extra bases and chose one of them.
If all three parts are in place:
Crop your Globe.
By pulling (only in PSP 8) the nodes (little red squares) you can
give it the size you want. Double-click your image.
Lock your bottom layer (bowling ball)
.
Make sure you're on one of the other layers (=blue).
Merge visible layers.
Open the bottom layer again.
You have two layers
Activate your bottom layer (ball).
Selections > All.
Selections > Float.
Selections > Defloat.
Click shift D twice to make two extra copies.
First globe:
Effects > plugins > VM Natural > Sparkle.
By moving the slider Rnd Color On/Off to the left you get colored stars.
If you like white stars, move to the right.
Merge visible layers.
The latest version of AS doesn't recognize the PSP 8 extension
*.pspimage so we have to save as a PSP 7 file.
This is how:
Save as > click options and choose save as PSP 7 or 6 file.
Save Globe 1 as BB-1.psp or BB-1.pspimage.
Close this copy.
Repeat these steps with globe 2 but set Random Seed to 60.
Don't forget the merging.
Save as BB-2.psp or BB-2.pspimage.
Close this copy.
Repeat these steps with Globe 3 but set Random Seed on Globe 3 to 200.
Don't forget to merge.
Save as BB-3.psp or BB-1.pspimage.
Close copy 3.
Well...... we are off to Animation Shop to finish the Globe.
I use AS 3.06.
Open Animate Shop
.
Click in AS the first button.
The Wizzard Animation will start.
Follow the screens en click next.
It's very important you did merge your layers in PSP. You'll get a very strange animation if you didn't.
If you want your sparkles a bit slower set speed to 20, 25, 30 or more.
See the globes below. Betty Boop 20 and Tigger 30 sec.
Your animation will appear in AS now.
Click to play it.
We will now save our globe.
Next steps are very important so follow exact.
Save as > choose your name > Save.
In the next screen click 'Adjust':
You see this menu. I'll show all 3 tabs.
I used #D6A7E9 because of the color of my globe.
Set the color always to one that matches your globe or background.
Because if you don't you will get a nasty black or white jagged edge.
Play with these settings. You have to adjust them
on every animation you do. You can use a light grey color.
Mostly it is a good option, because you can use it on different background colors
The opacity of partial transparency
can be different on every image, mostly between 15 and 50.
You have to look yourself what is the nicest effect on your animation.
Sometimes it is better to use "No, use existing color
with opacity 100%." This tab makes or breaks your globe.
If you don't like your animation click undo in AS
and try again with different settings.
If you have done all 3 tab's click OK.
You will find yourself in the first screen. Click:next.
The next screen has to load.
Done? Click next (no screen capture).
You see the following sample. Look at your edges.
Are yours black or another strange color go to 'previous'
and change your color.
Next screen you see contains info about your image.
You can see the size. Mine was 74 kb.
Click finish now.
Well ...your Bowling Ball Globe is done and I hope you like it.
!!! ```` TIP ```` !!!
In this way you can make many different globes.
Another ball, glass and base.
I did add 17 extra Bases and 5 glasses for you.
Or make your own bases using dingbats, good luck experimenting.
20 seconds. 45 seconds.
35 seconds.
